Many things have changed in the last 10 years of software development. The world has changed introducing new processes, different ways of working with different teams. There have been many pros, of course, but in many cases, even disasters. In startups it is sometimes easier to introduce or eliminate practices, but in enterprise environments there are insurmountable rocks for a change of direction.
The many technologies and the many companies, new programming languages and the tendency to use the same standards for all. In the night maybe in your mind resounds: speed, agile, sprint, issue, delivery, deploy, rollback, pipeline.
What I mean, that sometimes you don’t have to use big words or formidable theories. Sometimes you just have to listen people, tell how important is or provide them with the tools to work at their best. Take mistakes and improve your structure.
Don’t use people as numbers or just for convenience for projects, you understand that people have ambitions, desires, ideas, motivations. Let’s go back to a human world, made up of people, project and ideas and later integrate the new agile / devops technology in a sensible way that best adapted to your company.
